Urad Dal Vada is made with a coarse paste of urad dal perked up with onions, and curry leaves, these vadas have a unique, texture and taste. The lentil here is packed with proteins. Your child will love it.

Contents
1 cup urad dal, 1 onion chopped, 2 deseeded and chopped green chillies, handful of curry leaves, salt as needed and oil for frying
1. Clean, wash and soak dal for about 2 hours. Drain well.
2. Blend coarsely the the daal in a mixer.
3. To the ground paste; add onion, green chillies, curry leaves, and salt and mix well.
4. Pick up small portions of mixture, shape them to balls and flatten them on a greased sheet.
5. Heat the oil in a deep non-stick kadhai and deep-fry, a few vadas at a time on a medium flame, till they turn golden brown in colour from all the sides. Drain on a paper towel.
The nutritious, tasty Urad Dal Vadas are ready to serve and are best accompained with onion tomato chutney.
