You can prepare Vegan Carrot Halwa for your child. This halwa tastes awesome and is prepared using carrots and applesauce. Carrots are a good source of vitamin A while applesauce is a good source of dietary fibre and vitamin C. Garnish this delicious carrot halwa with flax seeds which are a good source of omega-3 fatty acids and dry fruits which have vital vitamin and minerals. All in all this sweet dish is healthy and tasty and is a perfect dessert for your child.

Ingredients to make Vegan Carrot Halwa:

2 cups grated carrot, 1.5 cup apple sauce, 2 tsp whole flaxseeds, 1.5 cups sugar, 1 tbsp crushed dryfruits (almonds, pistas, cashews), 2 tsp oil, ½ cup water

Steps to make Vegan Carrot Halwa:

1. In a pan, add 1 tsp oil and saute the crushed dry fruits and flax seeds. Remove and keep aside.

2. In a kadai, take half cup water and add sugar. Melt the sugar on low flame

3. As the sugar syrup starts to bubble, put the apple sauce and grated carrots and keep stirring continuously on low flame. Add 1 tsp oil too. This process takes about half an hour or till the carrots get completely cooked.

Delicious Vegan Carrot Halwa is ready for your child to sweeten his taste buds. Garnish with flax seeds and crushed dry fruits. Enjoy.
