Wheat Paratha with Dal Stuffing

Prepare this satiating, wholesome and very soothingly flavoured dal paratha. It will fill his heart and tummy, and provide all the nutrition of lentils like proteins and carbs, in a very comfortable sort of way.

Ingredients to make Wheat Paratha with Dal Stuffing:

2 cups whole wheat flour, 1⁄2 cup chana dal-soaked overnight, 1 small sized onion-finely chopped, 1⁄2 tsp carom seeds, 1⁄2 tsp amchoor powder, 1-2 tsp chopped coriander leaves, ghee, salt, water

Steps to make Wheat Paratha with Dal Stuffing:

1. Take flour, salt and 2 tbsp ghee in a bowl, mix well and make crumbles. Now add water accordingly to knead a soft dough.

2. Add the soaked chana dal in pressure cooker with water and bring it to boil till 2 whistles.

3. Drain the dal and keep aside in strainer so that all water drains off completely.

4. Mix the drained chana dal with chopped onions, salt, amchoor powder, carom seeds, asafoetida, coriander leaves

5. Take a ball sizes dough and roll it to make a thin sheet. Place a spoon of chana dal stuffing in centre.

6. Bring the edges together and join them in centre. Sprinkle some wheat flour and rill slightly thick.

7. On a hot tawa place the rolled paratha and cook both sides using oil.

Serve this yummy paratha with curd or chutney.
