Sweet lentils is a yummy dessert prepared using moong dal, which is rich in protein and jaggery, and has valuable carbohydrates. You can further flavour the sweet with cardamom powder and ghee.

½ cup moong dal, ½ cup jaggery, 1 tsp ghee, a pinch of cardamom powder
1. Wash the moong dal well and soak for 10 mins. Drain the water and dry roast the moong dal till it emits a good aroma.
2. Grind the moong dal to a fine powder.
3. In a pan, add little water and crushed jaggery. On medium flame, get the jaggery to melt. Filter the jaggery syrup and keep aside.
4. In a kadai, add half tsp ghee. Add the powdered moong dal and saute for 2 mins. Add hot water carefully. Mix for a min and then add the jaggery syrup. Mix well.
5. Flavour the sweet lentils with cardamom powder and remaining ghee.
Delicious sweet lentil is all ready!
