Are you tired of the same old dal-chawal and rajma-chawal? Give the humble rice a glamorous makeover with some lip-smacking cheesy risotto, known as Cheesy Rice Risotto! Rice is full of carbohydrates.

3 tbsp butter, 1/2 cup chopped onions, 1 tsp chopped garlic, 2 tbsp chopped carrots, 1/4 cup boiled green peas, 2 tbsp chopped beans, salt to taste, 2 cups cooked rice, 2 tbsp fresh cream, 1/2 cup milk, 1/4 cup grated cheese
1. Heat the butter in a deep pan, add the onions and sauté till they turn translucent.
2. Add the garlic and sauté for a few more seconds.
3. Add all the vegetables and salt and mix well and cook for 4 to 5 minutes.
4. When the vegetables have softened a little, add the rice, cream, milk, ½ cup of water and salt if required and mix well.
5. Bring to boil and simmer for a few minutes, adding more water if required.
6. Add the cheese, mix well and serve immediately.
