1 cup moong dal, salt to taste, 1 teaspoon mustard seeds, cumin seeds, 3 or 4 cups water, 1 tablespoon ghee
1. Pressure cook moong dal with three cups water in cooker for 3 to 4 whistles.
2. Once cooked, take out and mash well. Add one more cup water if needed.
3. Cook well for some more time.
4. In a pan, add a tablespoon of ghee. When it’s hot, add mustard seeds. Wait for them to splutter. Then add cumin seeds.
5. Add this tempering to the moong dal soup.
Serve the soup hot.
