Chocolate Poli

Poli is common to most Indian households and comes in sweet and spicy variants. Kids love to eat this as it is easy for them to have. Add to it, their favorite chocolate and you can be sure they will love it.

Ingredients:

For the dough: 1/2 cup flour, 2 tsp ghee and salt to taste.

For the stuffing: 2-3 tsp cocoa powder, 1/2 cup grated coconut, 3/4 cup sugar.

Steps:

1. Take the flour, ghee, and salt and mix it well with the palm of your hand. Then slowly add water while kneading it into a stiff dough. Cover this with a wet muslin cloth and rest it for 10 minutes.

2. To a heated non stick pan, add cocoa powder, coconut, sugar, and a little water and cook on high flame. Once sugar starts melting, simmer and cook till it thickens. Remove and allow it to cool completely.

3. Heat a non stick tawa. Pinch out small balls from the dough, flatten it and place the filling in the middle and close it.

4. Dust with flour and roll out as chapatis. Cook these chapatis on both sides on hot tawa.

5. Serve hot.
