Are you fond of halwa? Make this tasty and nutritious Kesari Halwa, loaded with carbohydrates for energy all day long.

Contents
1 cup sooji, 3/4 cup sugar, 4 Tbsp ghee, 2 Tbsp sliced almonds, Pinch of saffron, 1/8 tsp cardamom powder, 3 cups water
1. Boil the water with sugar and cardamom powder over medium heat until the sugar is dissolved. Set aside.
2. Melt 1 tablespoon of ghee in a frying pan on low medium heat. Add the sooji and almonds and roast stirring continuously for about 7-8 minutes, until sooji is light golden brown in color.
3. Add the syrup slowly, and cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring continuously.
4. Add the remaining ghee slowly and cook for 3-4 minutes stirring continuously until the halwa has the texture of thick batter. Serve warm.
