Infact we parents find it an easy way to engage our kids, make them sit at one place and give them the gadget to play with. Also if possible allow him to use a tablet or computer more often than a phone because the same has a bigger screen and can be kept at a distance while working on it. However, children under 8 years of age should not be given any exposure to a cell phone or tablet. Brian development is very crucial for our kids and allowing children to use cell phones or tablets can do more harm than good to our child at this age as their brain is still developing. Rather we should allow our children to enjoy nature and play outdoors as much as possible.
