At this point of your child's development, it is not just important, but also indispensable for you to hear your child out. There are a lot of things happening around the little one. There are many things that are beyond our control, and there are several things that are negative and meaningless. A child grows here, and there is no other way out. So, the way in which as a parent you can make it happen well is to stay connected with him as much as possible. And in order to do that, the most important thing is to hear him out in the most diligent way. Hear what he wants to say and also the things that he doesn’t say. If you don’t listen to your child, then in sometime he will stop telling you things and will avoid conversation of any kind. And, that can be hugely damaging, for the both of you at present and also in the long run. So, make sure that your child and you are on the same page. Also, while you listen, allow him to open his heart. Try not to be judgemental about what he is saying. The more you lend a friendly ear to him, the more he will open up and say all that bothers him, worries him, and makes him upset. This will help you to keep him in the right path and also help him sail through his difficult times, also giving you both the opportunity to bond well.
