Your child at this stage has his psychological tendencies shaping up, something that will define how confident he is as he grows up.

As your child grows and passes through this stage, it is important to boost up your child’s morale and provide him with challenging tasks, suitable for his age, so that he can feel a sense of accomplishment. Build up your child’s confidence and self-esteem by initially giving him tasks that he can manage without difficulty.
Once he accomplishes these, praise him generously. If required, gently guide him on how to correct any errors and encourage him to keep trying till he succeeds. Learn to pass small notes of appreciation for every task that your child accomplishes and make it a point to encourage him to take on more challenges. At this stage, refrain from scolding or showing anger towards your child, which might have a negative effect on his confidence levels.
