One such rule to legally drive/ride a vehicle in Bengaluru is that you must hold a valid Driving Licence (DL). If you do not have a DL, this article will help you understand the process of obtaining a Driving Licence in Bangalore.

Step 1: Log on to the Parivahan website to access online RTO services.
Step 2: Choose “DL Services” from the “Online Services” drop-down menu.
Step 3: Select the state of residence (Karnataka) on the next page and select “Apply for Learner’s Licence”.
Step 4: Fill out the form, upload the required documents and pay the applicable fees to book a test slot.
Step 5: Appear for the test on the designated date and collect the LL upon test clearance.
Step 6: Visit the Parivahan portal and choose the “Apply for DL” option from the DL Services menu.
Step 7: Select “Applicant holds LL”, fill out the online form and upload the relevant documents.
Step 8: Click on “Appointments” and schedule an appointment for the driving test after 30 days from the date of issuance on LL.
Step 9: Pay the Driving Licence fees and print/download the acknowledgement receipt for future reference.
Appear for the driving test on the designated date. An RTO official will monitor the test, and upon test clearance, the RTO will capture your biometrics data. You will receive the Driving Licence via post.
Here are the steps if you wish to apply for a DL offline in Bangalore.
Step 1: Visit the respective RTO and collect the application forms for LL. Alternatively, you can download them via the Bangalore RTO website.
Step 2: Fill out the forms with the required information and keep all the required documents handy.
Step 3: Submit the forms and documents to the RTO, pay the DL fees and collect the fee payment receipt.

Following are the eligibility criteria to obtain a Driving Licence in Bangalore.
