Your Kid's Mood Swings May Trigger Some Bad Habits Now

Team AckoFeb 8, 2024

At this stage, it is not uncommon for your little one to pick-up and display bad habits alongside his untimely mood swings. You might be shocked to see your kid pull, push, bite, scream, or knock someone out when playing. As a parent, it is important that you are aware of your child’s bad habits and take necessary steps to control it too. Know what’s tolerable and what’s not. Your kid has a problem controlling his temper, you don’t.

    What you need to do:

The moment your child starts hitting, biting or indulging in any kind of bad behavior, express disapproval at once. Keep repeating this; it takes time for your little one to catch on.If you feel that the situation is getting out of hand, remove your toddler from it at once and allow him to cool down. React immediately, don’t let it go or bring it up later. He isn’t mature enough to get it yet. If you are confident that our toddler is able to understand what’s communicated, try explaining why the action was wrong. Use sympathy as a tool for teaching good habits. His mood swings will soon reduce and he will follow your preachings as well.
