This is the age when your kid has developed fine motor skills and is ready to put his imagination into picture and color his imagination. This activity will strengthen his skills further to identify various colors. This is a great way of teaching problem solving skills to your kid as well.

Requisites: Eggbox, colored chips, colored pens.

Steps:

1) Take an egg box and cut out small holes in the lower part of the tray. Color the upper part of the tray with colored pens.
2) Try to keep as many colors with variations from light to dark.
3) Ask your kid to pick colored chips from the bowl and place on the respective holes having the same color.
4) The light and dark shades give extra challenge to the kid.
5) They have to be extra cautious while matching the color.

This activity will promote questioning and problem solving skills. Your kid will be able to recognise and name different colors.
