Yet another super millet to introduce to your little one is barley. The fiber in barley encourages the growth of friendly bacteria in the intestine. It is rich in trace minerals like selenium, molybdenum, manganese, all healthy for your little one.

Ingredients to make Barley Carrot Cereal:
½ cup carrot (pureed), 2 tbsp barley coarse powder, water as required, baby’s milk(breast milk or formula milk), ¼ tsp jaggery, ½ tsp ghee
Steps to make Barley Carrot Cereal:
1. In a pressure pan, mix the barley cereal in water without lumps. Add carrot puree, jaggery.
2. Cook for 2 whistles. When it is little cooled add baby’s milk to thin out the porridge.
