Ingredients: 1 cup rice, 1 cup grated beetroot, 1 cup sliced onion, ½ tbsp. ginger garlic paste, 1 and a half tbsp. ghee/oil, ½ tbsp., cumin seeds and a pinch of salt
Steps:
1. Wash and soak rice for 15 minutes in warm water.
2. Pressure cook rice with 1 cup of water.
3. Fluff the rice with a fork carefully.
4. Add ghee/oil in a pan and add the cumin seeds and allow it to crackle. Add and sauté ginger garlic paste. Then, add onion and cook till they turn soft.
5. Add beetroot and fry well. Sprinkle water and cover the pan. Keep stirring continuously until it gets cooked on medium flame.
6. Add a pinch of salt and cool the mixture.
7. Mix it with rice and stir well.
Your healthy Beetroot Pulao is ready. Serve it with curd or raita.
