‘Mashed Peas Pancake’ is a great finger food. Besides being the best source of fibre, peas are a good source of iron, protein and vitamin C. Making pancakes using wheat flour and ghee will make it more nutritious as it contains carbohydrates and fats. Once you add milk to form the batter for pancake, the food becomes rich in calcium and protein too.
½ cup wheat flour, ½ cup milk, ¼ tsp salt, ½ tsp Ghee, ¼ cup boiled and mashed green peas, finely minced 2-3 coriander leaves.
1. Wash and boil the peas in half cup water for 5 mins and drain. Mash them.
2. In a mixing bowl, add the wheat flour, salt, ghee and mix well. Add milk and make a batter (pouring like consistency). Finally add the mashed peas and coriander leaves. Give it a thorough mix.
3. Heat a dosa pan. Pour one small laddle of batter. Do not spread.
4. Wait for bubbles to pop over the pancake and once it gets light brown, flip the other side carefully.
5. Cook the other side for a minute and delicious healthy Green peas pancake are ready.
A great breakfast to start the day.
