Akki roti or rice roti is a very popular and easy to make dish. It contains soaked chana daal and veggies to add flavour which makes it nutritious with healthy carbs and proteins.

1 cup rice flour, 1 chopped onion, 1 tbsp grated coconut, coriander leaves chopped, cumin powder, 1/4th cup soaked chana dal, water, salt, oil
1. Boil the soaked chana dal. Drain excess water and store it for further use.
2. Take rice flour, salt, chopped onion, grated coconut, coriander leaves, cumin powder, chana dal in a bowl. Add the stored water of dal.
3. Knead a soft dough. Divide the dough into equal balls.
4. Grease the tawa with oil or ghee. Take one ball of dough and flatten it on tawa using palm and fingers.
5. Heat the tawa on medium flame and begin to cook akki roti.
6. Drizzle some oil around the edges and on top.
7. When cooked from the bottom flip the roti and cook from this side as well.
Serve Akki Roti hot with coconut chutney.
