Aloo Palia is a dry stir-fried potato onion mixture that is used as a filling in dosas or can be had with pooris. The side dish is rich in carbohydrates and is flavoured with a tempering of channa dal, mustard seeds and curry leaves, making its taste awesome.

2 cups potato, 2 cups water, 1 onion, 1/4 cup boiled green peas, 1 tsp mustard seeds, 1 tsp channa dal, 4-5 curry leaves, 2 tsp oil, salt as per taste
1. In a pressure pan, add water. Boil the potatoes and peas for 4-5 whistles.
2. Mash the potatoes and peas mixture and keep aside.
3. In a kadai, add oil. Add mustard seeds, channa dal, and curry leaves. Add finely chopped onion and saute for 3-5 minutes.
4. Add the mashed potato peas mixture and salt. Give it a good mix.
Delicious aloo palia is ready to be relished. Enjoy!
