''An apple a day keeps the doctor away.'' So, try out this healthy recipe, which is yummy and easy to make. Apples contain dietary fibre, vitamins like A, B1, B2, and C, as well as minerals such as iodine, phosphorous, iron, and calcium.

2 juicy apples, 1 tsp lemon, 2 small pieces of cinnamon, 2 tbsp water, 4 tbsp brown sugar/jaggery
1. Wash, peel and finely chop the apples removing its seeds.
2. Then grate the apples using a peeler
3. Transfer the grated apples into a pressure cooker along with brown sugar/jaggery. Add little water as needed for pressure cooking. Pressure cook it for 3 whistles on a medium flame.
4. Open the cooker once the pressure is released and add lemon juice.
5. Cook it for few more minutes until the mixture gets thickened and reached the jam like consistency. Allow it to cool for a few minutes and pour the jam into clean glass jar.
Delicious homemade apple jam is ready to be served with bread/paranthas.
