Arrowroot ka Halwa is an authentic sweet preparation from Malabar. Arrowroot is a rich source of carbohydrates. The halwa is flavoured with a variety of dry fruits, jaggery and ghee and surely your would love it.

Ingredients to make Arrowroot ka Halwa:
½ cup arrowroot powder, ¾ cup jaggery, 4 tsp ghee, ¼ tsp cardamom powder, 4-5 cashews, 4-5 raisins, 1.5 cup water
Steps to make Arrowroot ka Halwa:
1. In a pan, add some water and melt the jaggery. Prepare the jaggery syrup by straining the melted jaggery.
2. In a vessel, pour 1 cup water. Add the arrowroot powder and mix well. There should be no lumps.
3. Pour the mixture in a kadai and keep stirring on a medium flame. As the mixture starts thickening, pour the jaggery syrup, cardamom powder, and mix well.
4. Add 3 tsp ghee and stir till it becomes thick and a whole mass.
5. Transfer the mixture onto a greased plate of 1 inch thickness and spread it evenly.
6. Spread the cashews and raisins on top.
7. Cut into squares/diamond shape.
Delicious arrowroot ka halwa is ready to sweeten the taste buds. Enjoy!
