    Ingredients to make Awan Bangwi:

    1 cup mami rice wash and soak for 4-5 hours, 5 pieces lairu leaves, 1 tsp. finely chopped ginger pieces, 10-12 cashew nuts, 3 tbsp. ghee or butter oil, 2 tbsp. raisins soaked for 1-2 hours

    Steps to make Awan Bangwi:

    1. Sieve the mami rice and put it in a big vessel. Add ginger, cashews, ghee or butter oil and mix well.

    2. Take on leaf of lairu and make a cone of it, keeping the end part of the leaf inside.

    3. Spoon the mixed rice into the cone only to half of the cone and fold down the upper end of leaf and tie around it with a cane, do it in the same manner for the rest of rice mixture.

    4. Cover the cones and boil in a big container and cook till the rice is tender. Drain the water and remove from it and it is ready to taste yum.

    Have this Awan Bangwi during snack time to energise.
