An extremely easy dish, which is rich in iron with a unique flavor is here. Your kiddo will relish it for sure.

4 cup banana blossoms, 1 tsp turmeric powder, 3 dry red chiles, 2 tsp cumin seeds, 8 garlic cloves, 1 small onion, 1 small potato, salt as per taste, 1 tbsp mustard oil, and water
1. Soak the cleaned banana blossoms in turmeric water for 10 minutes. Drain it and coarsely grind the blossoms for 30 seconds. Then take it out and drain and squeeze the water well from the blossoms.
2. Grind the blossoms along with all the other ingredients except potato and oil. Add ½ cup of water and make a fine paste.
3. Now make thin slices of potato. Put these slices, blossom paste, oil and ½ cup of water into the pan. Mix it well.
4. Cook on low flame for about 15-20 minutes until it is done. Once it is cooked, the texture will be a little dry.
Bhonda Patua is ready to be served with rice or roti.
