Bread halwa is a Mughlai dessert and made specially on festive occasions. Bread and sugar which are rich in carbohydrates are the main ingredients used in this recipe. Flavour this halwa with nuts and it tastes awesome.

4 bread slices, 1/4 cup sugar, 1 cup whole milk, 2 tsp ghee, 3-4 cashews, 3-4 raisins
1. Soak the bread slices in milk. And set aside.
2. In a pan, add ghee. Add 2 soaked bread slices and cook till light brown. Repeat with the other two bread slices. Chop the sauted bread into squares.
3. In another vessel, put water and sugar. Bring the mixture to a boil and prepare sugar syrup. Switch off the flame.
4. Soak the bread pieces in the sugar syrup and on a low flame keep mixing till all the mixture comes together. Add 1 tsp ghee.
5. In a pan, add ghee and saute the nuts and raisins for 1 min.
6. Add the sauted nuts to the Bread Halwa.
This yummy dessert is all ready to sweeten your child’s taste buds. Enjoy!
