    Ingredients to make Broken Wheat Khichidi:

    Daliya - 1/2 cup, Onion -1 chopped, Ginger-garlic paste -1/2 tsp, Carrot - 1 chopped, Beans - 5-6 chopped, Coriander powder - 1/2 tsp, Salt to taste. For the seasoning: Oil - 1 tbsp, Mustard seeds- 1/2 tsp, Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp, Curry leaves - a sprig

    Steps to make Broken Wheat Khichidi:

    1. Dry roast dalia until you get a slight aroma of roasted dalia. Now soak daliya in 1 1/2 cup of hot water for 10 minutes.

    2. Heat oil, add cumin seeds and mustard seeds, when it splutters, add onions and curry leaves and saute till onions turn transparent.

    3. Add ginger-garlic paste and saute for a few more minutes.

    4. Add carrot, beans, coriander powder and salt. Mix well.

    5. Add the soaked dalia along with the water. Simmer for 20 minutes until done.
