    Ingredients to make Chegodilu:

    1 cup rice flour, 1 tbsp moong dal, 1 cup water, 2 tbsp ghee, ½ tsp cumin seeds, a pinch of hing, salt as needed, 1 tbsp oil, oil for frying

    Steps to make Chegodilu:

    1. Wash and soak moong dal in water. Drain water and keep aside.

    2. Heat 1 cup of water and add soaked moong dal.

    3. Add ghee, cumin seeds, asafoetida, salt to the water and mix well.

    4. When the water starts boiling add rice flour. Keep stirring the mixture to avoid any lumps. Keep flame on low.

    5. Turn off the flame and mix well. Keep it covered for 10 minutes.

    6. Add 1 tbsp of hot oil to the dough and knead well until smooth and soft.

    7. Pinch off small portions of dough and roll them into slightly thick rope. Join the ends to make rings. Ensure the ends are firmly pressed as not to give out during frying.

    8. Heat oil in a skillet and drop rings and fry them till golden and crisp.

    Serve warm or store for later consumption.
