Like other legumes, such as beans, peas, and lentils, chickpeas are high in fiber and protein, and contain several key vitamins and minerals. Chickpea rice provides the goodness of both chickpeas and rice, which is a good source of carbohydrates. It is a handy dish that is liked by people of all age groups. Try this today!

Rice-1 cup, chickpea-½ cup, salt-to taste, and oil-2 tsp
1. Wash rice and chickpeas.
2. Heat oil in a pressure cooker and add chickpeas(soaked over night).
3. Fry for some time and then add rice to it. Stir well.
4. Add water as per requirement with salt to it.
5. Pressure cook upto 2 whistle on medium flame.
Serve hot with dal or raitha and enjoy!
