Wheat is an amazing source of carbohydrates and fibre and is highly nutritious. Using cocoa powder and wheat flour, you can give a superb twist to the usual idlis and make yummy Chocolate Idlis.

Ingredients to make Chocolate Idlis:
1 cup wheat flour, 2 tbsp cocoa powder, ½ tsp vanilla extract, salt as required, water as required, 2 tsp oil
Steps to make Chocolate Idlis:
1. In a pan, dry roast the wheat flour till it emits an aroma.
2. In a mixing bowl, add the roasted wheat flour, cocoa powder, salt, 1 tsp oil and vanilla extract. Stir well and add water as required. The consistency of the batter should neither be too thick nor too thin.
3. Take an idli pan and grease its moulds with little oil. Pour the batter in the moulds and keep the pan in the idli steamer. Cover with a lid and steam cook for 10 minutes. Switch off the flame.
4. After 2-3 minutes, scoop out the delicious chocolate idlis, which are now ready to be served.
Enjoy the yummy Chocolate Idlis warm.
