This dal is very delicious in taste and is nutritious as well. This is made from soaked chickpeas and bottle gourd vegetable. It is a good getaway from regular dal and it provides energy to the body.

1 bottle gourd copped into small pieces, ½ cup soaked chana dal, 2 green chilies, 1 small ginger piece chopped, a pinch of hing, 1 tbs oil, 1/4 tsp amchur powder, 1/4 tsp coriander powder, 1/4 tsp turmeric powder, salt to taste, coriander leaves for garnishing
1. Pressure cook chana dal with bottle gourd pieces and green chilli, ginger, hing, and little water.
2. Cook till 4 whistles and lower the flame for another 5 minutes.
3. Once done, mash the dal properly, and add water if required.
4. Take 1 tbsp oil and let it turn hot. Add amchur powder, turmeric, and coriander powder. Adjust the taste with salt.
Garnish the sabji with corainder leaves and serve hot with roti.
