Easy Aloo Tikki is pretty simple and easy to prepare. You will love to relish them as finger foods. Aloo has a good source of Vitamins C and B6, manganese, phosphorus, niacin and pantothenic acid.

3 medium sized Potatoes, ¼ tsp. red chilli powder, 2 to 3 tsp finely chopped coriander leaves, ½ tsp cumin powder, ¼ tsp dry ginger powder or minced ginger, ¼ tsp chaat masala powder, 2 bread slices (run them in a blender to make crumbs) or 2 tbsp maida, salt as required and 2 tbsp, oil
1. Wash the potatoes clean and pressure cook them well.
2. Peel the skin and grate the potatoes to mash them.
3. Add all the spice powders, bread crumbs or maida and coriander leaves.
4. Mix everything well and grease your palms to divide the mixture into small shaped tikkis.
5. Heat the pan and grease it with oil and place the tikkis shallow fry them using oil.
6. When one side of tikki becomes golden and crisp, turn over and fry the other side of tikki.
7. Once tikkis are golden and crispy evenly, drain the aloo tikkis on paper towels to remove excess oil.
Serve with coriander chutney or sweet yogurt raita. Try this recipe now, to offer as a healthy snack while watching TV.
