    Ingredients to make Gajar Upma:

    1 cup rava/semolina, 1 onion chopped, 1 cup grated carrot, 1/4 tsp black mustard seeds, 2 tsp oil, 7-8 curry leaves, 2 cups water, salt to taste

    Steps to make Gajar Upma:

    1. Heat oil in pan and add the mustard seeds. When they splutter, add the onion and curry leaves and fry for a few min.

    2. Add the carrot and stir for 2-3 minutes. Add the semolina and fry for 3-4 minutes. Remove from heat and keep aside.

    3. Boil 2 cups of water. When water boils, add the semolina carrot, and mix well. Simmer for 2-3 minutes and serve hot.
