You can make a delicious fruit preserve called Ginger Peach Jam. Peaches are a good source of carbohydrates, fibre and vitamin A and C. Flavoured with ginger, this yummy jam is a wonderful spread on toasts or phulkas.

5 cups of cut peaches, 5 cups of white sugar, ¼ cup of chopped ginger, ½ tsp butter, 10 tsp powdered fruit pectin
1. In a large vessel, add the peeled and cut peaches, chopped ginger and pectin. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat.
2. Add sugar and butter. Keep stirring till all the sugar gets dissolved well.
3. In a hot sterilized jar, transfer the yummy ginger peach jam.
Serve fresh.
