Why do you worry about what to cook for lunch when you can be innovative and try this Green Spicy Pulao for your sweetie pie, whenever you make green masala for curries? These three leaves are rich in sodium, potassium, vitamin A, and dietary fibre.

1 cup Basmati rice, 1 medium size onion finely chopped, 1/2 tsp ginger garlic paste, 1/2 cup finely chopped tomatoes, 2-3 tbsp oil/ghee, 2 cups water, fried cashews and almonds, salt to taste, paste of 2 tbsps of blanched palak leaves, 2 tbsp of coriander leaves, and 1 tbsp of mint leaves
1. Wash and soak the rice for 15 mins.
2. Heat the oil in a pan and add the onions, sauté till the onions are translucent and add ginger, garlic paste and sauté till the raw smell go.
3. Add tomatoes and the green masala paste and sauté for a 2 mins.
4. Stir in the rice, add the salt and the 2 cups of water and mix well.
5. Cook rice until done.
Serve warm with raita, to your sweetie pie. The green colour rice will be a visual treat and sure you will enjoy the flavours of the greens.
