Your child will love spreading this fruitful jelly on his toast or would relish a spoonful just like that. Guavas are rich in vitamin C, fiber, and health benefitting phytonutrients.

6 very ripe guavas, 2½ cups water, 4 cups sugar, 4 tbsp. lime juice or lemon juice
1. Wash and dice the guavas into one inch cubes and place in a saucepan with water just enough to cover the guavas fully.
2. Cover with a lid and cook guavas for half an hour or until they are very tender. Strain the mixture into a colander with cheesecloth over a bowl.
3. Drain till the dripping stops. Measure 4 cups of juice in a saucepan, add sugar and lemon juice and bring them to boil by stirring continuously.
4. Simmer and cook stirring constantly until the liquid start to coat the spoon thickly and the juice drips from the ladle in jointed drops.
5. Allow to stand for 30 minutes and ladle into prepared sterilised jars, cover them and seal or ladle into moulds.
