Hot healthy Semiyan

Semiya has carbohydrates and you can make delicious healthy semiyan. Flavour the semiyan with cashews and coconut, both good source of vitamin and minerals. Adding carrot, gives the valuable beta-carotene and essential minerals.



    Ingredients to make Healthy Semiyan:

    1 cup semiya powder, 1 grated carrot, 1 tsp urad dal, ½ tsp powdered cashew, 1 tsp sugar, 1 tsp grated coconut, 1 tsp oil, salt as per taste

    Steps to make Healthy Semiyan:

    1. Dry roast the semiya and grind to a fine powder.

    2. In a kadai, put oil. Add the urad dal, cashews and grated carrot. Saute till light brown.

    3. Add 2 cups of water. Bring to a boil. Add salt as per taste. Add sugar too.

    4. Add the semiya powder slowly and keep stirring.

    Hot healthy Semiyan is ready. Enjoy.
