Treat yourself with this traditional mouth-watering Jhilli Mithai from the state of Odisha. It is a very easy recipe to make with just a few ingredients. Chickpea is high in protein with dietary fiber, vitamins and minerals.

1 cup chickpea flour/besan/kadalai mavu, 1 tbsp. rice flour, 1 cup butter, a pinch of salt, oil for deep frying, 1 cup sugar syrup, 1 tsp. powdered cardamom
1. Take chickpea flour, rice flour, baking soda, salt. Cardamom powder and make soft dough out of it, cover and keep it aside.
2. After 15 minutes, divide the dough into equal parts and make small balls out of this and flatten them into thick patties.
3. Deep fry these patties till golden brown in medium heat. Prepare the sugar syrup and soak the patties in to it for 3-4 minutes and drain them.
Delight with Jhilli Mithai this evening.
