Chana dal ki Kachoree, simply known as Kachoree, is the best served snacks. This is a must try recipe at home to avoid tasting it at streets. Chana dal is a helpful source of zinc, folate, calcium, and protein.

Contents
2 cups chana dal(split Bengal gram) soaked overnight, 1 chopped onion, 1 tsp. chopped ginger, 2 tsp. chopped garlic, 3 chopped green chili , ½ cup chopped coriander leaves, oil for deep frying, salt to taste, 1 tsp. coriander powder, 1 tsp. cumin powder, ¼ tsp. turmeric powder
1. Grind the dal to coarse paste by adding little water, add all the remaining ingredients and grind well. Do not use water while grinding as you have to make small balls out of the mixture.
2. Divide the mixture into equal portions and shape them into small balls.
3. Heat oil in a frying pan and deep fry the kachoree until it turns golden brown from all the sides.
4. Remove and drain them on the kitchen towel.
Serve the hot Kachoree with mint chutney.
