You can prepare a quick and easy stir fry, Kadali Aloo Bhaja using green banana and potato. This side dish is flavoured with freshly ground spices and tastes yum. Ingredients to make Kadali Aloo Bhaja:
3-4 kancha kadali (green banana), 2 aloos, 1 tsp turmeric, salt as per taste, 1 tsp cumin seeds, 4-5 black peppercorns, 2 tbsp oil
Ingredients to make Kadali Aloo Bhaja:
1. In a small pan, add the cumin seeds and black peppercorns. Saute for about 2 minutes or till you get a nice aroma. Grind the spices to a fine powder.
2. In a vessel, pour water and add turmeric. Cut roundels of banana and potato. Put them in the vessel and cook for 5 minutes. Drain the water and cool the cooked banana and potato roundels.
3. In a wide pan, put oil. Put the banana and potato roundels in the oil in such a way that are separate.
4. Flip and cook on the other side for 2-3 minutes.
5. Add the ground spice powder on top and gently stir.
Kadali Aloo Bhaja is ready. Enjoy with phulkas or rice.
