Cooked kala chana tempered with mustard seeds and grated coconut tastes yummy and it is a perfect snack or lunch idea that goes well in taste and nutrition.

2 cups boiled kala chana, 1 tbsp coconut oil, 1½ tsp urad dal, 1 tsp mustard seeds, 2 whole dry Kashmiri red chiles, 5 curry leaves, ½ tsp asafoetida, salt, 1/4 cup grated coconut
1. Heat oil in a pan and add urad dal and saute on medium flame for a minute.
2. When thedal crackles then add mustard seeds, red chilli, asafoetida and curry leaves. Saute for few seconds.
3. Add kala chana and salt and saute on medium flame for 2 minutes.
4. Switch off the flame and add grated coconut. Mix well.
Serve hot with roti.
