A scrumptious spicy dish made with besan and rice flour perked with spices is a great snack to be served with a cool drink in evening. This recipe is rich in protein and fat.

3 tbsp ghee, a pinch of cooking soda, 1 tsp pepper powder, 1 cup besan, 1/4th cup rice flour, 1/4 tsp asafoetida, 1 tsp jeera, salt as needed, oil
1. In a deep pan add ghee, cooking soda and pepper powder. Mix well with your hand until little foamy.
2. Add in seived besan, rice flour, hing, cumin seeds, salt. At lukewarm water at a time and knead a smooth dough. Make sure the dough is not too hard nor soft.
3. Heat oil in a skillet. Keep karasev maker( a ladle with multiple holes) or murukku maker over skillet. Put the dough over ladle and press gently directly into the hot oil.
4. Fry them on medium low flame until golden and crisp. Drain them to paper towel.
Serve when cooled down. Store in an air tight container to serve later.
