Prepare this rich, aromatic, Bengali mithai to exemplify your culinary divine art. You will love the juicy flavour and its taste best when served warm.

2 cups all purpose flour, 250 gm khoya, 2 tbsp ghee, 2-3 tbsp powdered sugar, 1/4 cup raisins, a pinch of ground nutmeg, 1 tsp rose syrup, 15 cloves, a pinch of saffron soaked in milk, a pinch of baking soda, ½ tsp salt, 1 cup sugar, water, ghee for deep frying
1. Knead the dough by mixing flour, baking soda, salt, ghee and water into soft dough. Keep aside.
2. Make sugar srup by combining 1 cup sugar with half cup water and rose syrup. Bring to boil. Simmer for few minutes and keep aside.
3. Mix khoya, powdered sugar, ground nutmeg, saffron and rasins. Add more sugar if required. Keep aside this filling.
4. Take small ball sized dough and roll them in round puri shape.
5. Put a portion of stuffing in centerand fold two sides overlapping eac other.
6. Overlap the remaining two sides to form a book fold and seal it using little water and clove.
7. Deep fry on medium heat till golden brown on each side.
8. Coat with sugar syrup when cool.
Serve these Labong Lathika warm.
