Mawa Jalebi is a popular sweet recipe from Madhya Pradesh. Mawa is loaded with calcium, protein, and fats.

1 cup crumbled mawa, 1/5 cup Maida, 1½ cups sugar, few strands saffron, ghee for deep fry, ¼ tsp. green cardamom powder, 3 tbsp. milk
1. Take a medium size bowl and add maida and make a thin consistency batter by adding water. Whisk it for 5 minutes and keep it in a warm place for 2 hours.
2. In another bowl add mawa and the 3 tbsp milk and mash the mawa until it becomes soft and cover it and keep it aside for an hour.
3. Take a pan and add sugar, 1 cup of water, saffron strands, green powder and prepare sticky syrup something similar to honey.
4. Now mix the mawa and the maida batter together without lumps.
5. Heat ghee in a frying pan and pour the batter into jalebi cloth and then pour it in the pan in the shape of a jalebi and deep fry until it is golden and crisp.
6. Soak the jalebi into the sugar syrup for few minutes, drain it.
Serve it hot to relish the taste of it.
