A popular north Indian bread, Missi Roti is a perfect mix of flavours of wheat flour, besan, and spices. It can be served with any curry of your choice. This roti is rich in carbohydrates and protein.

½ cup besan, ½ cup wheat flour, 1 large onion, 2 green chillies chopped, 1 tsp ginger paste, 1 tsp red chilli powder, 1 tsp roasted cumin powder, 1 tsp roasted coriander and carom powder, 1 tsp turmeric powder, coriander leaves, 2 tbsp ghee, salt to taste, water as needed.
1. Mix all the ingredients except ghee and water in a deep bowl. Add little water at a time and knead a smooth dough.
2. Take a portion of dough and flatten it with hand and then roll it into slightly thick round shaped chapati.
3. Heat a griddle over medium flame. Cook the rolled roti over it.
4. Cook until tiny bubbles start appearing on top. THen cook directly over flame like normal chapati.
Spread ghee or butter on it and serve with curry.
