We would love to have something that is tasty as well as visually-appealing. These Mullu Murukku are full of protein from the dals and carbohydrates from the rice flour, making it the perfect snack!

    Ingredients to make Mullu Murukku:

    Rice flour - 3 cups, split and husked moong dal - ½ cup, channa dal -1/4 cup, White sesame seeds - 3/4 tsp, asafoetida - 1/4 tsp, Butter - 2 tbsp, salt to taste, oil for deep frying, water as required.

    Steps to make Mullu Murukku:

    1. Grind both dals into a fine powder.

    2. Take rice flour, dal powder, sesame seeds, salt, asafoetida, and butter in a bowl and mix well. Add water and knead to a soft dough.

    3. Heat oil for deep frying. Fill the dough in a murukku maker and press over the oil in circles to drop murukkus directly into the oil.

    4. Deep fry till golden. Drain and serve.
