This appetizing dish will make you salivate. It is a rice pudding with jackfruit and richness of coconut milk. Jackfruit is rich in energy, dietary fiber, minerals and vitamins.

    Ingredients to make Ponsa Gharai:

    1 cup jackfruit, 2 cups coconut milk thick, ½ cup jaggery, 2 tbsp. rice powder, ½ tsp.turmeric powder, ¼ tsp.cardamom powder, cashewnuts, charoli, almonds as desired, a pinch of salt

    Steps to make Ponsa Gharai:

    1. Make a paste by mixing rice powder with water and keep it aside.

    2. Steam jackfruit along with nuts and set aside.

    3. Melt jiggery and make a syrup and add rice paste and keep stirring continuously and add boiled jackfruits, nuts to the syrup. Cool for 3 minutes and add coconut milk, cardamom powder, turmeric powder and pinch of salt and simmer for 2-3 minutes.

    Chill it and enjoy this lip-smacking dish.
