Rava Ladoo/Unde is an easy and quick to cook Indian sweet and is highly popular and immensely tasty. It is a perfect sweet to be made when you are in a hurry and yet need to prepare a sweet dish. Rava is rich in potassium, iron, and proteins. This is a total healthy and tasty sweet dish.

Ingredients to make Rava Unde:

Sooji-1 cup, grated coconut-1/4 cup, milk-1/4 cup, sugar-1 cup, ghee-1/4 cup, cashews-few, golden raisins-few, cardamoms-few, and saffron strands-few

Steps to make Rava Unde:

1. Firstly, in a wide pan fry chopped cashews and raisins with ¼ cup ghee. Fry until raisins puff up and cashews turn golden brown. transfer them to the plate and keep aside.

2. Add 1 cup rava and roast on low flame. Roast until it changes colour to light brown and turns aromatic. Also roast grated coconut.

3. Turn off the flame and allow rava to cool to room temperature.

4. Meanwhile, take another vessel and prepare sugar syrup by taking 1 cup sugar and ¼ cup milk.

5. Further boil for 5 minute.

6. Turn off the flame and add roasted rava to sugar syrup. Also add in roasted cashew, raisins, saffron strands and ¼ tsp cardamom powder.

7. Stir continuously to avoid any lumps formation. After a minute, rava absorbs the sugar syrup.

8. When it's still warm enough, prepare laddus with your palm.

Serve Rava Unde once cooled completely or store in an airtight container for 2 weeks.
