Raw Banana Methi Subzi is one of the really quick and easy to satiate your thirst for raw banana recipes. Methi is loaded with iron and raw banana is a good source of vitamins, potassium, and manganese.

4 raw bananas, 1 cup finely chopped fenugreek leaves (methi), 1 tbsp oil, 1 tsp. mustard seeds (rai /sarson), ¼ tsp. asafoetida (hing), ½ tsp. chilli powder, ¼ tsp. turmeric powder (haldi), 1 tsp.coriander (dhania) powder, ½ tsp. sugar, salt to taste
1. Pressure cook the raw bananas in 2 cups of water for 4 whistles. Remove the bananas after the steam is completely down.
2. Peel the bananas and cut them into slices and keep aside.
3. Heat oil in pan and add the mustard seeds and when it starts to crackle add asafoetida and the fenugreek leaves and sauté on a medium flame for 2 minutes.
4. All the turmeric powder, coriander powder, chilli powder, sugar and salt and mix well and simmer for 30 minutes. Add the banana slices and mix gently and cook on a medium flame for 2 minutes while stirring occasionally.
Prepare and savour just like that or with lunch or dinner.
