Roth is usually prepared at the time of Kashmiri festival, however, you can prepare this anytime to feel special. It is a type of cookie prepared using flour, ghee, and sugar. It acts as an energy booster.

1⁄2 cup plain flour, 1⁄2 cup caster sugar, 1 tsp cardamom powder, 100 ml ghee, 1 cup milk, and extra ghee for frying
1. Add sugar and cardamom to flour in a deep bowl and mix it.
2. Add the ghee and mix it with your fingers.
3. Gradually, add milk to form a soft dough. Start pouring the milk little and then add more if needed. You may or may not need all of the milk.
4. Divide dough into ten balls and flatten into discs with the help of a rolling pin, about 3 mm thick.
5. Heat ghee on a medium flame. Fry roth and allow to get brown on one side then flip and fry till it turns golden brown both sides. Drain it.
Serve the delicious fried snack.
