Savoring Broken Wheat Upma

This is a nutritious recipe which is rich in protein and carbs. Broken wheat is a good source of energy which is counted beneficial for growing kids. You would require onion, green peas, green chilli, carrot cubes and oil.

    Steps:

    1. The first step is to wash the broken wheat. Add it to 2 cups of water and heat it for 4 minutes. Then drain the water and keep the broken wheat in a separate bowl.

    2. Take a pressure cooker and add oil. To this add onion and green chilli. Saute it until the onion grows light in colour.

    3. The next step is to add carrots, broken wheat along with peas and salt. Cook it for 3-4 minutes.

    4. The last step is to add 1 ½ cup of water and wait for a single whistle.

    You can offer this dish with coriander garnishing.
