Savory Rings are a tasty snack prepared using rice flour, which has carbohydrates and besan, which has valuable proteins. You can flavour this snack using ajwain and cumin seeds, which aids in digestion and spices like chilli and turmeric powder, which have vital vitamin and minerals for your little one. It’s a perfect evening snack. This crunchy snack can be stored in air tight containers for about 2 weeks.

Ingredients to make Savory Rings:

1 cup besan, ½ cup rice flour, 1 tsp ajwain seeds, ¼ tsp turmeric powder, , 1 tsp cumin seeds, 1 tsp chilli powder, salt as per taste, oil for frying, ½ cup water

Steps to make Savory Rings:

1. In a vessel, take besan and rice flour.

2. Add cumin and ajwain seeds. Add salt, 1 tsp oil, turmeric and chilli powder. Mix well.

3. Add water carefully to make a semi soft dough.

4. Take a small ball of the dough and roll it thin. Give it the form of a small ring. You can repeat the same with the remaining dough.

5. Fry the rings in oil. Alternately, use a cylindrical press. Grease it from inside and stuff a ball of dough. Press the maker as the savory rings drop in the oil. Fry till golden brown on both sides.

Yummy savory rings are ready to be relished. Enjoy!
